Special Provision for Commuted Leave
- For Approved Courses:
- Half pay leave up to a maximum of 180 days may be commuted for an approved course of study in public interest, with prior approval from the Finance Department.
Important Note on Retirement and Leave Conversion
When commuted leave is granted, and the employee intends to retire:
- The commuted leave will be converted into half pay leave.
- Any difference in leave salary between commuted leave and half pay leave will be recovered.
- An undertaking must be signed by the employee regarding this conversion.
Refund Policy on Retirement
- If retirement is voluntary: Refund of excess leave salary will be enforced.
- If retirement is compulsory due to ill health: No refund will be required.
