Selection Process

  1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates need to complete a 5 KM run in 24 minutes.
  2. Physical Standards Test (PST): The minimum height requirement is 170 cm, with a chest measurement of 80-85 cm. Relaxations apply for candidates from hilly areas.
  3. Written Exam: Includes questions to assess general knowledge and job-specific skills.
  4. Document Verification: Verification of educational qualifications and other relevant documents.
  5. Medical Examination: Ensures candidates are medically fit for the role.

Written Examination Details

1. Examination Format

  • Mode: The exam will be conducted under OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) or Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
  • Language: The test will be available in English and Hindi.
  • Type of Questions: All questions will be Objective Multiple Choice type.
  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

    • Availability: Tentative Answer Keys will be posted on the CISF website after the examination.
    • Representation: Candidates can submit online representations against the Answer Keys within the stipulated time limit by paying Rs.100 per question. Representations must be submitted online; those sent via other methods will not be considered.
    • Finalization: Representations will be reviewed by a panel of experts. The experts’ decisions will be final.

5. Standard of Questions

  • Level: The questions in the Written Examination will be at the 12th standard level, specifically focusing on Science subjects.
