Haryana Police Constable 2024: Eligibility Criteria 

Education Qualification for Categories 1 to 3

  1. Educational Requirement:
    • The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized Education Board/Institution.
    • Matriculation (10th grade) with Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.
  2. Additional Information:
    • No extra weightage will be given to candidates for higher education.

Age Limit

  • Age Requirement: 18-25 years
  • Age Reference Date: The age is calculated as of 01-09-2024, which is the first day of the month in which applications are invited.

Selection Process

The criteria for selection and examination for Haryana Police (Non-Gazetted and Other Ranks) positions, based on the CET Notification dated 05.05.2022, and subsequent amendments and court rulings, are outlined as follows:

1. Qualifying Tests:

  • Common Eligibility Test (CET):
    • The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will invite candidates based on their merit in the CET for further tests.
    • Candidates will be invited in batches to undergo the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST), which are both qualifying in nature.
    • Candidates will be shortlisted to four times the number of advertised posts per category for the Knowledge Test.

2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT):

  • Standards and Procedure:

    • Candidates must meet the standards as per Appendix-B of Haryana Police (Non-Gazetted and Other Ranks) Service Rules, 2017.
    • Digital measurement devices will be used to ensure transparency and accuracy.
    • Results will be posted on the HSSC official website.
  • Elimination:

    • Candidates failing to meet the standards will be eliminated from further selection.

3. Physical Screening Test (PST):

  • Standards:

    • Male Candidates: 2.5 kilometers in 12 minutes.
    • Female Candidates: 1.0 kilometers in 6 minutes.
    • Ex-Servicemen: 1.0 kilometers in 5 minutes.
  • Technology and Results:

    • RFID or similar technology may be used for accuracy.
    • Candidates are responsible for their medical fitness to take the test.
    • Results will be posted on the HSSC official website.
  • Elimination:

    • Candidates failing to meet the standards will be eliminated from further selection.

4. Knowledge Test (94.5% weightage):

  • Test Details:
    • Shortlisted candidates (equal to four times the advertised posts) will appear for a Knowledge Test.
    • The test will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions in Hindi/English.
    • Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for general category and 40% for reserved categories.

5. Additional Weightage (Maximum 03 Marks):

  • NCC Certificate:
    • NCC ‘A’ Certificate: 01 mark
    • NCC ‘B’ Certificate: 02 marks
    • NCC ‘C’ Certificate: 03 marks
